Korea trip, Day 3 (Part 1) - Jejudo

Baiklah, entri kali ini ialah entri bahagian pertama (dari tiga bahagian) berkenaan aktiviti jalan-jalan dan makan-makan aku di Pulau Jeju (Jejudo), South Korea, together with my sis and our hired personal tour guide (cik Raihan, comel dan baik budaknya) to show us around east Jejudo for 1 day  ;3

Me, poking softly (using some unlucky gastropod as a tool) at some kind of a soft coral or sea anemone species at the rocky shores of Seongsegi beach during low tide. They squirt water out of their bodies and shrink when they're surprised, how gwiyeo (cute)~ X3

We (my sis and I) arrived here around 9'ish am, setelah bertolak dari Myeongdong dengan menaiki van Starex.

Gimpo airport, Seoul.
Tunggu kat depan gate, tingkat atas. Awal lagi ni, Gate 10 untuk flight kitorang tak buka lagi. Usha-usha keadaan sekeliling dulu, tengok gelagat orang tempatan ;3
Bergambar jap, oh ada geng aweks Korean cun kat belakang tu, geng baju biru (serius cun macam retis). Kat depan aku ni pulak ada sorang anak Korean (cheeky little boy) dok acah-acah nak tangkap kasut aku (dari celah kerusi kat depan), tak pasti la kenapa. Hahah... excited dorang ni nak pergi Jejudo.
Sementara menunggu gate buka, tangkap gambar airport view dulu... "Heyyo Gimpo, wassup~" ;3
Beli strawberry juice dulu dari snack booth yang ada kat sebelah ni, awal tadi tak sempat nak breakfast kat hotel (hahah...)...
Periksa tiket lagi sekali (buat kali ke-berapa belas entah), sebab gate macam lambat betui nak buka... risau kalau-kalau kitorang tersilap tengok info. Hahah... cuak wei kalau tersilap flight info kat tempat orang :'3
Makin ramai orang, dah agak sesak ni menunggu gate buka, excited dorang ni nak terbang ke Jejudo. Ada ramai budak-budak teenagers (rombongan pelajar mungkin). Agaknya gate lambat buka dan buat rilek je sebab ini local flight, bukannya nak terbang keluar Korea...
Setelah sejam lebih berada di atas udara (from Seoul to Jejudo), kepulauan Jeju sudah berada di bawah flight ini. Pertama kali kitorang tengok Jejudo, rasa woahhh~ X3
Let's go see what's interesting about this beach~ :3
Wild dandelions growing on white sand, I didn't know they could~ :3
White, sandy beach... with black rocky shores and seaweed, lots of seaweed. I think I've seen this view somewhere in my dream some time ago, seriously deja vu :3
Tengok kincir angin gergasi kat belakang tu, rasa macam gerun sikit, entah pasaipa. I got from Raihan, our tour guide). Set kipas yang barunya belum dipasang, maka gondol la kincir tu selagi tak dapat new blades.
Moving further towards the black rocky shores and seaweed :3
Would you look at that... huge abundance of seaweed, and they're mostly sea lettuce! (nyam nyam?) :3
Seaweeds are not plants, they're algae, and are actually protists (from the kingdom Protista).
Bergambar sikit kat pantai berbatu ni~ X3
Me and my sis, at Seongsegi beach, Jejudo ;3
My curiosity is slowly consuming my mind. I wonder what these sea lettuces taste like... I really want to know~ X3
No, no... it could be bad news for me if I eat them just like that. Think about something else! Look at the view, not the seaweed (but there's seaweed everywhere here)~ X3... *and the mind battle continued in my head for several minutes*
I... want... to... taste... the... sea... lettuce....really... wanna...
Seawater... is... so... clear... and clean... and... and... doesn't smell fishy... ermmmm...
Raihan told me that once there was this guy tourist (whom she had brought to this beach with her some time ago) got curious too and ate this seaweed. Nothing happened to the dude afterwards so... ah well, here I go... Y.O.L.O (You Only Live Once)~ X3

And, just as I predicted... they're FRIGGIN' YUMMEH!! Nyam nyam! I ate several blades of this delicious wild sea lettuce! Seriously! *Oii, of course la aku tak buat macam tu pun (the bungkus-bawak-balik part), tak baik tau kalau ambil benda free banyak-banyak macam tu, hahaha* Kalau dorang jual ni, nak jugak aku beli. Huhuu... ( ~";^ w ^ )~

Selain sea lettuce (algae), ada juga sea anemone and other sea animals (maybe soft corals and sea worms).
Me, poking softly (using some unlucky gastropod as a tool) at some kind of a soft coral or sea anemone species. Masa air laut tengah surut ni (low tide), dorang tak keluarkan tentacles. Jadi, agak susah nak tentukan apa jenis haiwan laut ni. They squirt water out of their bodies and shrink when they're surprised, how gwiyeo (cute).
This looks like a mini marine aquarium, pretty and delicate.
Okeh, masa untuk ke destinasi lain pulak... we only have a day to enjoy Jejudo, huhuu...
Apa tu? Padi? Padi huma? Gandum? Kena pergi inspect ni...
Barley! Awwh teringat lagu Sting - "Fields of Gold". This is awesome! X3
"You'll remember me, when the west wind moves, upon the fields of barley. You'll forget the sun, in his jealous sky, as we walk in fields of gold" - Sting, in Fields of Gold.
Dandelions are here as well. Oh somebody is thinking about imitating a rather famous scene in the K-drama "Goblin", where the Goblin bride blows on a dandelion. Sabar je ler... lulz X3
Hahaha... ye, tiuplah bunga tu kak oii, tiuplah... aku ambil gambar elok-elok ni...
Fuuuh, nasib baik takde apa-apa, esok tu mata aku slowly jadi cerah semula.

You'll be seeing more of Jejudo, and more of the amazing awesomeness that she has to offer ;3
